Porcelain fired at 1300ºC is the body that I use. Its strength, finish, fluidity and whiteness are the most important reasons why I employ it. I throw simple, clear and classic pots with no decorations. My glazes are the ones which decorate them with the strength and personality I am looking for each one.
It is very fulfilling to see that the work that so much love and dedication you put in it, is commonly shared with more people.
I am very grateful that this particular pot is featured at infoceramica.com, a digital Spanish magazine with international reputation, as the artwork of this current week, 18th March 2019.
I am delighted to announce a solo show at "Beaux Arts Bath" gallery.
For this exhibition I have made a new body of work consisting of over 40 pieces with a range of shapes, sizes and new glazes. It has been a big challenge because I have pushed the glazes to sizes not used before.
There are plenty of combinations of glazes with over 50 different recipes mixed and formulated to get the desired effect and finish. (sometimes with fortunate one-off results).
The exhibition will run from April the 6th 2019 until May the 11th 2019.
The opening will be on April the 6th from 2pm to 5pm.
I am delighted that I will start showing the work with Beaux Arts Bath.
Beaux Arts is the longest established commercial gallery in Bath and has been located in the same beautiful building for nearly forty years. Beaux Arts Bath is the sister gallery to Beaux Arts in Maddox Street, London W1S.
Situated near the abbey in a listed Georgian building, the gallery specialises in the work of major twentieth century painters, sculptors and studio ceramicists.
